Dr. Olha Tytarenko of the University of Nebraska at Omaha shared her perspective, as a native of Ukraine, on Russia's invasion of her homeland with Seward  Rotary Club

Shirley Wichman of the Nebraska State Tourism Commission shared the impact of tourism on Nebraska and discussed the Commission's widely recognized tourism campaign, "Nebraska...Honestly, It's Not For Everyone"

The Seward Rotary Club was recently honored as the Top Club in Rotary International’s District 5650 for their contributions per capita to The Rotary Foundation’s Annual Fund.  The Rotary Foundation supports the work of Rotary International. 

Seward Rotarians raised over $15,000 for the humanitarian efforts in Ukraine in addition to collecting a pickup load of medical supplies.  They also gave an average of $378.00 per capita/member to the Annual Fund to support Rotary International's many efforts across the globe.  This was in addition to the Club and individual Rotarian's ongoing strong support of Polio Plus, the worldwide effort to eradicate polio that has been led by the United Nations and Rotary International.

 

Presenting the award to Seward Rotary representatives Jon and Bonnie Kruse at the District 5650 Conference were Bill Harvey, District 5650 Endowment and Major Gifts Chairman, and Mick McKinley, District 5650 Foundation Chair.

Seward Rotarian Andy Hartmann was presented with his second Paul Harris Fellow Award on July 6, 2022 in recognition of his longtime support of the Seward Rotary Club and The Rotary Foundation.  Hartmann was presented with a Paul Harris pin complete with a diamond chip to signify his second award by Jon Kruse, Seward Rotary Foundation Committee Chair.

 

“Both Andy and his wife Dee have worked very hard for the name of Rotary this year and we are thrilled to present this Paul Harris Award to Andy in appreciation for his Service Above  Self,” stated Kruse.  Hartmann expressed his appreciation to Rotary and to his fellow Seward Rotarians.  Congratulations, Andy!
