November is Rotary Foundation month across Rotary International and for our Club. This month, we note how The Rotary Foundation supports our Club's work and announce an exciting opportunity to increase our impact as a Club.
Concordia Men's Basketball Coach Ben Limback previewed the 2021-22 season for the Bulldogs at Seward Rotary Club on November 3rd. The Club heard about the program's goals and values, affirmed by two of its players.
Seward Rotary Club selected the Seward Backpack Program, sponsored by Seward Kiwanis Club, as its Grocery Grab fundraising project earlier this year. On October 20th, Jill Perdue of the Seward Kiwanis Club presented on the Seward Backpack Program and received a check from Seward Rotary to support the program, which is a weekend food supplement program serving over 140 local families. The more than $2,700 donated represented the net income of the recent Grocery Grab Raffle sponsored by Seward Rotary and Pac N Save Grocery.
