The Seward Rotary Club and Seward Police Department are again sponsoring their annual "Stuff the Cruiser" toy/gift drive for children ages 1-12! They will collect toys at the Seward Dollar General and Seward Orscheln's stores on December 6-and move to the Seward Walmart also on December 6 and all day December 7th! The toys/gifts will be distributed on December 14th by appointment! To register children for gifts call 402-646-5755 during normal hours!

Rotarian Lori Benton - a member of the Omaha West Rotary - visited the Seward Rotary Club as the 2020 Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) Chairman. She thanked the Seward Rotary for their longtime support of RYLA and addressed the new changes to the program. This year RYLA will be held April 17, 18, and 19 at Camp Kitaki near Louisville, NE! The Seward students attending must be juniors and the Seward Rotary will sponsor two students from Seward High. She addressed the proposed activities and speakers for their year's program and changes in the program!
Seward Rotary Foundation Committee members, Jon and Bonnie Kruse and Annette Wallman presented the program on The Rotary Foundation-emphasizing the humanitarian good shared by the Foundation throughout the world at the weekly Rotary Club meeting on Wednesday, November 6 at noon, following the luncheon, fellowship and business meeting. The Rotary Foundation is known for fighting diseases around the world, teaching people to read, building peace, providing clean water and sanitation, growing local economies, saving mothers and children-and is most known for the worldwide elimination effort by the Rotary Foundation to eliminate Polio.
Emily O’Kief, an Seward High Senior, was selected the November Youth Rotarian of the Month and recognized and honored at the recent Seward Rotary Club noon luncheon meeting on Wednesday, November 13th, 2019 at the Jones Bank Auditorium. Emily is the daughter of Stacey and John O’Kief. She was introduced by Rotarian Phil Bangert of the Seward Rotary Youth Rotarian Committee and she was presented a Rotary Club banner and information on Rotary and Rotary International.
