For 10th year in a row, Seward Rotary Club has again provided free dictionaries to third graders in Seward, Staplehurst, and Utica
During October and November, Seward Rotary Club again donated dictionaries to area Third Graders at Seward Elementary, Our Redeemer Lutheran in Staplehurst, St. Paul Lutheran in Utica, Centennial Schools in Utica, and St. Vincent de Paul Elementary in Seward.  Each student received a student dictionary and encouraged to save it and use it in future years as well.  Seward Rotarians delivering the dictionaries spoke about the many benefits of the dictionary and highlighted some of its special features.

This local program furthers Rotary International's focus on literacy and is conducted in partnership with the National Dictionary Project.  Local Rotarians presenting dictionaries included Mark Kolterman, Clark Kolterman, Chuck Matzke, Ron Niemoth, Shelly Nitz, Melanie Ayres Greg Butcher, Kurth Brashear, Greg Zabka, Harrison Helmer and Zane Francescato.  This is the 10th year that Seward Rotary has distributed dictionaries to area children.
