Young and furry Seward area residents alike have opportunities to celebrate Halloween this year thanks to Seward Rotary Club and Concordia Rotaract Club
Seward Rotary's annual Children's Halloween Costume Contest will be held on Thursday, October 27th at 6:00 PM at the Seward Bandshell.  The free event is for children ages 0-12 and prizes will be awarded to each age group with a Grand Prize trophy awarded at the end of the event.  Everyone who participates will be given a sack of candy compliments of Seward Rotary Club.  In case of inclement weather, the event will be held at the Seward Civic Center Auditorium at 616 Bradford Street.  For more information, contact Rotarian Dr. Ron Wallman at ronald.wallman@gmail.com.
 
Concordia Rotaract Club will again sponsor its annual Pet Halloween Costume Contest Set on Sunday, October 30th at 2:00 PM at the Seward Bandshell.  The event is free and all participating pets will be given a bag of treats.  Awards will be given to the top ten finalists with each finalist winning a medal.  There will be an overall Grand Prize awarded as well the top pet in costume.  The contest is co-sponsored by Petsource, Alps Bark Park, and Suhr & Lichty Insurance.  In case of inclement weather, the contest will be held at the Civic Center.  For more information, contact Rev.
