Seward kids, want to be Mr. Firecracker or Miss Independence 2018 for the 150th Anniversary celebration of the Seward Nebraska 4th of July Celebration? Then this is your weekend!
To enter the annual Seward Rotary Club contest, type or print your essay, approximately 500 words, on “Why I Like To Live in Seward." Any child who was in Grades K to 4th during this past school year can enter.
The winners and runner-ups will read their essays at the kickoff celebration, at Seward Rotary Club, and on the 4th at the Bandshell. They will also ride in the Grand Parade, win fireworks, and become a local celebrity!
Your essay must include your name, your parents' names, address and phone number.
Deadline to enter is THIS Monday, May 21. Mail (must be postmarked by the 21st) or hand deliver (must be delivered by 4:00 p.m.) your essay to:
