The students were introduced and read their essays on “Why I like to live in Seward!” They will be honored on July 4 at the Governor’s Reception, ride in the Grand Parade and read their essays at the Seward Bandshell following the parade. They each win a trophy and bag of fireworks and have their essays published in the Seward Independent and Seward Fourth of July Website and have their photos in both the paper and website too.

The student’s essays were judged by Seward Rotarians, with Alan Baldwin serving as the Co-Chair with Phil Banger. The project has been sponsored by the Seward Rotary for decades and the winners are listed on the Seward Fourth of July website.
