The Seward Rotary Club held its annual J. Don Miller Memorial Kite Flying Contest at Plum Creek Park in Seward on Sunday, April 14, 2024. Free and open to everyone to enter, the event again was highlighted by a variety of awards and trophies presented to all participants.
First Place in the Adult Division was presented to Ben Hartmann of Seward. First Place in the Youth Division went in a tie to twins Caric and Landon Hindmand of Lincoln. Rotarian Clark Kolterman once again served as the event judge.
The late J Don Miller of Seward was a longtime Seward Rotarian and a kite enthusiast. In recognition of his contributions to the Club, Seward Rotary established this event in his honor many years ago.
