The refurbished Armory Park located behind the new Nebraska National Guard Museum will be funded by the Seward Rotary Club’s Grocery Grab project this year.
The Seward Rotary Club has designated the new Armory Park for children and is the designated funding recipient of the annual Seward Grocery Grab at the Seward Pac and Save Grocery Store. Gerry Meyer, the executive director of the Nebraska National Guard Museum, purchased the first Seward Rotary Grocery Grab ticket from Rotarian Chuck Matzke, Past President of the Seward Rotary Club.

The Grocery Grab raffle tickets are available from local Rotarians and at the Seward Pac and Save. The drawing for the opportunity to shop for two minutes at Pac and Sav, will be held at the Seward County Fair on Saturday, August 10 at 8:00 at the Seward Ag Pavilion. The club will draw nine names/finalists and they will be invited to Pac and Save on August 17, at 1:00 pm. They will draw the name of the winner at that time, with the other eight receiving $25 gift cards from Pac and Save.

The funds from the Seward Rotary Grocery Grab will be matched up to $1500 by Rotary International, coordinated by grant writers, Rotarians Greg Butcher and Jon and Bonnie Kruse.
