The annual Seward Rotary Club’s Breakfast with Santa was a success, with almost 50 children in attendance for the holiday festivities at the Seward Civic Center on Saturday, December 14 th , 2019. The Seward Rotary Club hosted the area residents with a breakfast of donuts, fruit, candy, juice and milk. They were assisted by members of the Seward High Family Community Career Leaders of America (FCCLA).

The Seward Rotary Club hosted the area residents with a breakfast of donuts, fruit, candy, juice and milk. They were assisted by members of the Seward High Family Community Career Leaders of America (FCCLA).
 
Featured entertainment was “Mr. Magic” Andrew Malan of Seward with a magic act and group singing. Many prizes were shared through a drawing for all present and the high light of the event was a visit from Santa Claus. Guests with December birthdays and out of town guests were also recognized and honored with gifts from the Seward Rotary Club.
 
Special guests were Seward’s official “Santa Cops” Officer Johnny May and Officer Chase Parmer of the Seward Police Department, who distributed special badges, balloons and candy. They also protected and guarded the special guest of the day-Santa and Mrs. Santa!
 
Rotarian Alan Baldwin coordinated the ticket sales, Rotarian Russ Sommerfeld served as the greeter and Rotarian Patty Lavelle coordinated the food and candy distribution, Rotarian Clark Kolterman served as Emcee. FCCLA leaders Madelyn Bales and Raelynn Sugden served as the project youth co-chair for the SHS FCCLA.
 
The Rotary Club sponsored stacks of giveaway prizes to promote literacy, with the giving of a variety of Christmas books and books with Christmas themes. They also gave away in drawings, five special, Christmas Teddy Bears and Mice.
